June 2025 Updates
June 19, 2025
Dear all Mayfair Lane neighbors,
We have a number of updates pertaining to gutter cleaning, a summer gathering, trash, the front gate, water usage, a lost-and-found item, and dogs atop the Lane.
Gutter Cleaning + Roof Inspection
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, Angelo Sanfilippo (716-445-8767 or jets215@aol.com) and his team will conduct a gutter cleaning and roof inspection on houses 1-20. We will let you know if he identifies needed repairs to your roof.
Summer Gathering: Save the Date
In August, we’ll be holding a summer gathering for all Mayfair Lane Members. Join us on the Upper Lane on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. for food, drinks and neighborly camaraderie!
Trash
The two garbage bins located between #12 and #14 Mayfair Lane have been overloaded lately. Contents have included bricks, stones, dirt, etc. This is problematic because it makes it difficult for handyman Rick Guard to empty the bins, and the city will not collect waste from overloaded bins. Plus, one of the bins now has a broken handle due to excess weight! We ask that you please refrain from overloading those bins, and please do not place landscaping / home-repair waste in those bins.
Upper Lane Gates
Abraxas will be working on both upper Lane gates soon. They will repair the east gate and add a new lock to the west gate. We ask that you please refrain from hopping/climbing the gate, as it causes damage. (This is one of the reasons the east gate needs repairs.) Also, to prevent delivery workers from hopping/climbing the gate, please keep deliveries to the lower Lane.
Water Usage
If you have a water spigot in your garden that neighbors also use for summer watering, you can complete our online form to request reimbursement for your inflated water bill. Additionally, you can read the full water policy.
Lost and Found
A pink "toddler sleep set” (which appears to be children’s bedding with a Minnie Mouse theme) was recently found under the rear of Anna Marie / Gary’s vehicle. If this is yours, please know that Gary kindly put it on a shelf in the supply room under the East stairs for you to retrieve.
Dog Poll
Per the current Mayfair Lane rules of conduct, dogs are not permitted on the upper Lane. However, some homeowners have expressed an interest in changing this rule to allow dogs atop the Lane. Therefore, we’d like to gain a general understanding of how homeowners feel about dogs on the Lane. Please complete this survey to tell us your opinion.
Happy summer to all!
Respectfully,
Your Mayfair Lane Board
